About Me

Hi, my name is Noah Kempler and I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a busy practice in Marin County California. My practice focuses on helping kids and their parents get along better. Sometimes, the focus of the work is the parents and my job becomes to educate them and help them create strategies that help their kids function better at home, in school or in their social relationships. Other times, the focus of the therapy is on helping the child build important skills like: communication, flexibility, and problem-solving with others. Most of the time, there’s work for both the parents and the child to do and so we try to do a bit of both at the same time. I also run social skills groups for kids, which gives them a place to learn and practice new skills with adult facilitators close by.

I’m also a writer and have been published in several professional journals and have recently finished my first book Better Behavior, which is a guide for parents who want to tune-up their parenting while also helping their child improve behavior. In addition to writing, I also speak at schools, either to teachers or parents, to provide training and education about kids’ social/emotional development and behavior management techniques.
